What is mopp suit?

MOPP (Mission Oriented Protective Posture) suits are military-grade protective clothing worn by personnel when facing chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear (CBRN) threats. The suits are designed to provide full-body protection against hazardous agents, including skin and respiratory protection.

MOPP suits typically include a chemical protective coat, pants, boots, gloves, and a mask with a filter. The suits are made from materials that are impermeable to liquids and gases, such as butyl rubber or charcoal-impregnated fabric.

In addition to the suit itself, MOPP gear also includes other protective measures, such as gloves and boots, to ensure complete protection against CBRN threats.

MOPP suits are used by military units, first responders, and other personnel who may be exposed to hazardous materials in the line of duty. Proper training in the use of MOPP gear is crucial to ensure that personnel can properly don and doff the suits in a timely manner in the event of an emergency.
